Since May 26th, new rules apply for recognising and tracing medical devices. A permanently defined Unique Device Identification takes care of the recognition and the Medical Device Regulation -or the regulation on medical devices- determines the how and what with regard to the traceability. From now on it must be clear which medical devices are used where. But what does this mean for daily practice?
How will you read the new QR code if it is no larger than 1 by 1 millimetre?
The DoviSCAN has been specially developed for medical applications. Robust, dust- and splash proof and equipped with a powerful magnet so that it can be used safely in the sterilisation room. And yet it is also elegant and sophisticated, so that it does not look out of place on the desk of the general practitioner or dentist. Easy to install and connect to the common medical software.
